Editors Letter
May has arrived in historic Gettysburg and we at The Gettysburg Experience are ready to celebrate the new month by bringing you our newest supply of interesting articles, savory recipes, and our recently updated Calendar of Events.
As we draw near to summer, the anniversary of the battle that made Gettysburg forever famous to history also approaches. We offer "Two Gettysburg Girls", and chronicle their amazing experiences during the summer of 1863. Also within these pages is "From China to Gettysburg" a short piece describing the unique heritage of two Gettysburg soldiers.
Michael Dreese has written "Unbounded by Time", the story of a young man from Mississippi who came to Gettysburg and has never left. Another young man, a father of three, has a most interesting connection to Gettysburg -- and a holiday we commemorate every May.
